The IKO Foundation was established in 2007 and its founders are striving to become an integral part of a broader movement that focuses on diversity within Dutch / European society in relation to musical evolution and appreciation of cultural heritage. It seems that equal participation among representatives of different ethnic cultures enhances innovative thinking as wells as creative processes. Within this framework the foundation already reached a number of concrete goals.
